Handa's Hen had chicks and birds and then they went to find Handa and they didn't find Handa.

It can be tricky to only pause at the full stops because sometimes the words are hard and so I have to stop and think.

On slide Maths, I had to drag the number to answer the questions. 

I found it tricky to answer the questions in my head so I counted on my fingers.

It can be tricky to read all the phonemes. My next step is to remember to robot each sound carefully.

For this activity I was learning about shapes.
I found this activity very easy because I was good at drawing it.

Room 30 have loved going to Youth Town. 

We had FUN, LISTENED and LEARNT some very fun skills like:

• following instructions
• team work
• finding/using space

WALT: Know words that begin with certain sounds

We have been working on learning all the letters in the alphabet and their sounds. When reading we looked for words with certain sounds. Look at our POPLET to see the words we found.

Brooklyn says, "It can be tricky to remember all the alphabet letters and sounds in longer words."

WALT:Use capital letters and full stops

 To celebrate Mothers' Day we used Tagul to make a note to our Mum's. 
Brooklyn says, " I find it tricky to use capital letters at the start of a senetence."

WALT: write the first and last sound in a word

In Writing this term we have been learning to:

• use capital letters and full stops
• check our writing makes sense
• write in detail (more than one idea/add interesting words-adjectives)
• write in sequence using words like first, next and after that

(We had to share something ABOUT ME, and write 1 sentences about something we like. )

WALT: Use the pictures to help us read new words

In Reading, we have worked hard to use our phonics to segment and blend new words but we have also learnt to use the pictures when we are unsure. 

Brooklyn says, "When I am stuck I look at the pictures."

IAL: How to read graphs and talk about them

For our Maths Strand this term we have been learning all about Statistics.

We have collected different kinds of data and assembled this information onto the graphs.

The next time you visit our classroom check-out the different graphs we have made on the walls.

Brooklyn says, "It has been fun to use Mathletics for the first time!"

IALT: Get in and out of the pool safely

We have been learning how to get in and out of the pool using the ladders and the edge of the pool. We know how to use both hands to support us and to turn around before getting off the ladder.
